I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lyme Bay House, and I must say it was quite an experience. Nestled just a short walk from the train station, this guesthouse offers a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle. The fresh sea view from my room was a welcome bonus as I sipped my morning tea. What truly stood out, though, was the breakfast. Cooked to order by the owner, each dish was tailored to perfection. You're not just served food; you're entertained by Nikki, the delightful Thai hostess who brings warmth and humor to your meal. The menu featured a nice array, from Full English to fresh fruit, and I relished the unlimited supply of tea and coffee, which kept me energized for the day. The shared lounge and on-site bar contribute a homely vibe, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploration. Lyme Bay House strikes a fine balance between comfort and culinary innovation, making it a place worth returning to.
